CANAAN — The Vermont State Police arrested a Canaan woman on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Thursday night.
Nicole Houle, 41, of Canaan, called 911 at 9:34 p.m. to report she had gone off the roadway while driving on Vermont Route 114 in Canaan.
Troopers responded to the scene and found Houle’s 2022 Ford Edge with moderate damage.
During the investigation, officers detected signs of impairment, according to state police.
Houle was arrested and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.
She was later released with a citation to appear in court on a charge of DUI, first offense.
