HOLYOKE — Holyoke police recovered approximately 50 vials of cocaine and a vial of crack-cocaine during a property check Thursday, according to Police Chief Brian Keenan.
Officers were conducting property checks in the area of 534 South Bridge Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. to address quality of life issues.
Officer Justo Pagan observed a blanket over a first-floor railing and an individual loitering around the blanket.
The individual fled the scene when approached.
When Officer Pagan searched under the blanket, he discovered the drugs.
The property check was conducted under the direction of Captain Matthew Welch and Lieutenant Jorge Monsalve.
