FOXBOROUGH — A woman was arrested Thursday morning after fleeing police in a stolen vehicle with a child inside, according to Foxborough Police Department officials.
Foxborough officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop based on a be-on-the-lookout alert from Norton Police regarding a stolen vehicle reportedly driven by a female, possibly with a child.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to make contact with the driver, but she failed to stop and fled, prompting a police pursuit.
During the chase, the vehicle struck tire deflation devices deployed by Massachusetts State Police but continued driving.
The vehicle eventually became disabled, leading to the arrest of the adult female driver.
Police reported that during the pursuit, the driver struck three Foxborough Police cruisers, causing damage.
Both the woman and child were transported by medical personnel for precautionary reasons.
No officers were injured in the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional information will be provided when available.
