MAYFIELD — A vehicle caught fire after suffering a broken axle on State Highway 29 at County Highway 158 in the Town of Mayfield Wednesday night.
The Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company and Perth Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the scene at 11:01 p.m.
According to officials, the driver believed the fire was extinguished before emergency responders arrived.
A Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company incident commander requested Perth Volunteer Fire Company to remain at their station while units responded to the scene.
A Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy was also dispatched to the location.
