PORTLAND — Portland Police arrested a 34-year-old unhoused man Wednesday after he allegedly threw a brick at a victim and threatened another person with a knife.
Abdoalmonim Kodi was charged with assault, aggravated assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon following the incident on Portland Street.
Officers responded to 5 Portland Street at 4:18 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the day.
Witnesses told police the suspect threw a brick at a victim before physically assaulting him.
The suspect also allegedly threatened another individual with a knife.
The victim was treated and released from Maine Medical Center.
Kodi was transported to Cumberland County Jail following his arrest.
