LEBANON — A 24-year-old Lebanon man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving a 15-year-old female juvenile, police said.
Walace Do Carmo Cabral faces two counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and two counts of Felonious Sexual Assault, all classified as felonies.
The Lebanon Police Department began investigating on Feb. 25 after receiving a report that a male individual was allegedly residing with the juvenile and engaging in unlawful sexual conduct.
Detectives identified Cabral as the suspect and sought an arrest warrant.
On March 28, Cabral was located in Lowell, Mass., and taken into custody by the Lowell Police Department on the active warrant from Lebanon police.
Cabral was extradited back to New Hampshire on April 3 and is being held at the Grafton County House of Corrections.
He is scheduled for arraignment at the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court on April 4.
