GALWAY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Greenfield man Tuesday on multiple felony charges including drug possession, drug sales and reckless endangerment.
Michael P. Allen, 42, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, both class B felonies.
Allen also faces a charge of reckless endangerment in the 1st degree, a class D felony.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Feb. 11 in the town of Galway, where Allen is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing cocaine with intent to sell it and knowingly and unlawfully selling cocaine.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Allen is also charged with recklessly engaging in conduct that created a grave risk of death to another person by nearly striking a deputy sheriff with his vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.
Allen was arraigned before the Honorable Michael J. Morrissey in Ballston Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in Galway Town Court.
