CLINTON — State Police arrested Robert C. Maloney, 51, of Malone, for attempted criminal possession of a weapon and falsify business records 1st.
On March 19, at approximately 10:35 a.m., State Police were informed Maloney attempted to purchase a firearm from Dick’s County Store located on Route 11 in the town of Clinton but was denied.
An investigation determined Maloney is a convicted felon and attempted to purchase a firearm knowing he is not allowed to.
Maloney completed the paperwork for the purchase, in which he falsely answered questions.
Maloney was arrested and processed at SP Champlain on April 1.
He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clinton Court for a later date in April.
