Fairfield man arrested on warrants during unrelated investigation

FAIRFIELD — A local man was arrested on multiple warrants early Thursday morning after state police encountered him during an unrelated investigation.

At approximately 4:17 a.m. on April 3, troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks made contact with Andrew Morris, 43, of Fairfield while investigating another incident.

Troopers discovered Morris had two active arrest warrants.

The warrants included charges of misdemeanor operation of a vehicle with a suspended license and felony forgery for uttering or publishing an instrument.

Morris was taken into custody and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He is being held on $100 bail.
