GROTON — The Town of Groton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Steven Joseph Gush, who was last seen on March 29 in Ledyard, Connecticut.
Gush is described as approximately 6’2″, 230 pounds, with a medium build, gray beard, black hair and brown eyes.
He has tattoos on his legs and one arm and was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, blue shirt, light blue jeans and brown boots.
Authorities located Gush’s vehicle at the entrance to the Candlewood Hill Wildlife Management Area off Route 184 on March 29.
The Groton Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has deployed search teams, Connecticut State Police Search and Rescue canines, Groton Police Department canines, and thermal imaging drones in an attempt to locate Gush in the wooded area south of Route 184.
Police noted that Gush is an avid hiker and is familiar with trails in both Groton and Ledyard.
Residents near the Candlewood Hill Wildlife Management Area or the Candlewood Ridge Hiking Area are asked to check exterior surveillance cameras and trail cameras for any sightings.
