BOSTON — Boston police recovered more than 200 grams of fentanyl and two firearms during early morning raids Wednesday in Dorchester, resulting in three arrests.
Officers from the Drug Control Units of Roxbury, South End and Roslindale/West Roxbury districts, with assistance from the DEA Task Force, executed search warrants at approximately 6:08 a.m. on April 2.
At 167 Homestead Street, police recovered a Kel-Tec firearm loaded with one round in the chamber and four rounds in the magazine, along with approximately 133 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale and drug packaging materials.
A second search warrant executed at 3 Mount Pleasant Terrace yielded a Ruger 380 with a nearby magazine containing four rounds, approximately 80 grams of fentanyl and about $1,170 in U.S. currency.
Robelin Alcantara, 26, and Ruth Cruz, 26, both of Dorchester, were arrested and face charges of trafficking Class A substances, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Police said Alcantara had four active warrants for various charges including trafficking Class A substances, distribution of Class A substances, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Sebastian Lorenzo, 27, of Roxbury, was also arrested and faces charges of trafficking Class A substances, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession with intent to distribute Class B substances and improper storage of a firearm.
All three suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury Court.
