NORTH HAVEN — A 44-year-old woman faces multiple charges after allegedly using a deceased person’s bank card to make unauthorized purchases, police said Tuesday.
Christine Boyd was arrested March 31 following an investigation that began Feb. 6 when the North Haven Police Department was alerted to two fraudulent transactions from a decedent’s bank account.
Detectives discovered through search warrants that Boyd used the deceased person’s financial banking card to make purchases on a travel and lodging website, according to police.
Boyd was charged with larceny in the fifth degree, larceny in the sixth degree and two counts of payment card theft.
