POWNAL — A Pownal man was cited for excessive speed after Vermont State Police clocked him driving 91 mph in a 50 mph zone on U.S. Route 7 on April 2.
Todd M. Carbonaro, 53, was stopped at 9:52 a.m. while driving a white Subaru WRX STI northbound on U.S. Route 7 in Pownal.
Troopers observed the vehicle traveling well above the posted speed limit before confirming the speed with radar.
Carbonaro was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on May 19 at 8:30 a.m. for excessive speed.
He also received a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for the speed violation.
