KINGSTON — State Police arrested a 37-year-old Kingston man on charges related to child sexual exploitation on March 31.

Christopher A. Thomas was charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child Less than 16, a Class E Felony.

The investigation began in June 2024 after State Police received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Authorities executed a search warrant at Thomas’ residence in Kingston in December 2024.

Thomas is accused of possessing and having access to images and videos consistent with child sexual exploitation.

The arrest resulted from a joint investigation involving the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, the State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Kingston, NCMEC, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Thomas was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Ulster Town Court on April 16 at 1:30 p.m.
