Brookline man charged with voyeurism, stalking

BROOKLINE — A 32-year-old Brookline man was arrested Friday after allegedly filming a sexual encounter and sharing it without consent, according to Vermont State Police.

Daniel Omand was taken into custody at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Feb. 14 following a complaint to state police.

Investigators said further inquiry revealed Omand had committed the offense in the presence of a child.

Police also discovered Omand had allegedly placed a suspected tracking device in the victim’s vehicle.

Omand faces charges of voyeurism, disclosure of sexually explicit images without consent, offense committed in the presence of a child, and stalking.

He was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on April 3 at 12:30 p.m.

Authorities said Omand was violated by Probation and Parole and is being held without bail at Southern State Correctional Facility due to the probation violation.

The identity of the victim was not released in accordance with Vermont State Police policy regarding victims of sexual crimes.
