WATERBURY — Waterbury police arrested eight individuals on prostitution charges during a targeted operation conducted Friday, March 28.
The operation was launched in response to numerous citizen complaints about prostitution activity in several neighborhoods.
Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s VICE and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Gang Task Force, and Auto Theft Task Force focused their efforts on Grove Street, Hillside Avenue, and Pine Street areas.
Seven women were charged with prostitution, while one faced additional narcotics possession charges.
Those arrested include Tina Conway, 36; Jessica Guay, 43; Jessica Murphy, 36; Jacqueline Rinsland, 42; Angelique Santiago, 58; Sarah Kunz, 37, of Bethel; and Jessica Brinton, 37, of Wolcott.
Guitana Jones, 53, was charged with both prostitution and possession of narcotics.
