ST. JOHNSBURY — A 25-year-old local man faces assault charges after allegedly striking someone with a snow shovel during an altercation Sunday afternoon.
Adriano Dimartino of St. Johnsbury was arrested after police responded to a report of an active altercation at approximately 4:14 p.m. on March 30.
Officers from the St. Johnsbury Police Department determined that during the incident, Dimartino struck an individual multiple times with a snow shovel.
Dimartino was taken into custody, transported to the police department, processed and released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Court on April 28 to answer to charges of simple assault.
