Man arrested after stabbing in Milton

MILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Glens Falls man Tuesday following a stabbing incident in the town of Milton.

Richard E. Daniels III, 25, was charged with assault in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, both class D felonies.

Deputies responded to a call about a subject with a weapon on West Milton Road at 6:02 a.m. Tuesday.

According to authorities, Daniels is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to another person by stabbing them in the ribs and hand with a knife.

The charges were elevated because Daniels had previously been convicted of a crime, officials said.

The victim was treated at the scene and released.

Daniels was arraigned before Judge Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
