ASHLAND — A 49-year-old Ashland man was arrested and charged with first-degree rape following allegations of sexual assault spanning multiple years.
Warren F. Morrison was taken into custody after a juvenile female reported to a school resource officer on March 31 that she and other females had been sexually assaulted by Morrison over a period of years.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division led the investigation in collaboration with Chemung County Child Protective Services and the Chemung County Child Advocacy Center.
Morrison was charged with Rape in the First Degree, a Class B violent felony.
Following his arraignment in Ashland Town Court, Morrison was remanded to the Chemung County Jail without bail.
Authorities indicated the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
