SWEDEN — Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three suspects after a homeowner reported witnessing two males enter his garage and steal an ATV at 2:45 a.m. on March 31.
Deputies responded to the 7000 block of Fourth Section Road for the report of a burglary in progress.
The homeowner reported one suspect operated the all-terrain vehicle eastward on Fourth Section Road, trailing a green Chevrolet Avalanche.
Deputies located the Chevrolet Avalanche and the ATV in the area of Brockport Spencerport and Hubbell Roads and initiated a traffic stop.
The suspect on the ATV attempted to avoid arrest by speeding through fields into Northampton Park and then into a heavily wooded area.
Jose Maisonet, 33, of Rochester, was apprehended following a brief foot pursuit after the ATV became stuck.
Christian Robinson, 50, of Webster, who matched the description of the second suspect, was identified as the driver of the Avalanche.
A female passenger, identified as Sarah Nicholas, 50, of Rochester, was discovered to be in possession of cocaine.
All three individuals were charged with burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree, and assault in the second degree.
Robinson faces an additional charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, while Nicholas was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Maisonet complained of face and shoulder pain from striking a tree branch while driving the ATV through the woods and was transported to a local hospital where he was medically evaluated and released.
Maisonet was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $15,000 cash, $20,000 bond.
Robinson, a predicate felon who had an outstanding warrant for criminal possession of stolen property, was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail without bail.
Nicholas was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $5,000 cash, $20,000 bond.
