WESTPORT — Westport Police Detectives, with assistance from the Swansea Police Department, arrested Steven Correia of Blossom Road on Friday, March 28 on a felony warrant following an investigation into multiple sexual assault allegations.
Correia faces two counts of rape of a child with force, according to police.
Additional charges include aggravated rape of a child under 12, aggravated rape of a child over 12, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
He is also charged with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over.
Correia was initially held on $100,000 bail following his arrest.
After arraignment, a judge ordered him held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
The hearing is scheduled for April 1 at the Fall River Justice Center.
