PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested two men in separate incidents in Providence over a 24-hour period, according to officials.
On Sunday, March 30, at 11:22 p.m., troopers arrested Zion Mullings, 25, of Bristol, Rhode Island, during a motor vehicle stop on Chester Avenue.
Mullings was wanted on a Providence/Bristol County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on a charge of larceny from the person, stemming from a Bristol Police Department case.
After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Mullings was transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
In a separate incident on Monday, March 31, at 2:57 a.m., troopers arrested Osvaldo Vasquez, 52, of Providence, during a traffic stop on Chalkstone Avenue.
Vasquez faces charges of domestic violence – criminal violation of no contact order – 3rd or subsequent offense, and obstructing an officer in execution of duty.
Vasquez was held overnight at the Lincoln Woods Barracks pending morning arraignment as a bail violator in Sixth Division District Court.
