CORTLAND — A Cortland woman faces multiple charges including driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
April M. Williams, 45, of Main Street in Cortland, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. on March 29 after officers observed her vehicle committing multiple traffic infractions on Starr Road in the Town of Cortlandville.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office conducted the traffic stop on Owego Street in the City of Cortland.
Williams was determined to be driving while intoxicated and resisted arrest while being taken into custody, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
She was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Williams faces misdemeanor charges of obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and driving while intoxicated.
She was also charged with infractions including driving across hazard markings, failure to keep right, refusal of breath screening test, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Williams was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process at 8 a.m. on March 29 and released on her own recognizance.
Her next court appearances are scheduled for April 2 at 10 a.m. in City of Cortland Court and April 7 at 11 a.m. in Town of Cortlandville Court.
