BRATTLEBORO — A local man was arrested Monday afternoon after police discovered he was wanted on an out-of-state warrant during a routine traffic stop.
Justin Hale, 39, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Canal Street when troopers from the Westminster Barracks stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation.
Hale, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to have an active warrant from another state for possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping.
The arrest was made without incident, according to police.
Hale was processed at the Westminster Barracks before being lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear before the Windham County Superior Court on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
