Batavia police arrest 11 in recent crime sweep

BATAVIA — Eleven individuals were arrested on various charges in Batavia between March 10 and March 27, according to police reports released Sunday.

Leroy Thornton III, 34, of Batavia, was arrested March 27 for allegedly failing to report an address change as a level 3 sex offender within the required 10-day period.

Thornton was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court April 8.

Imani I. Hurd, 23, of Buffalo, was arrested March 24 for Attempted Grand Larceny 3rd and Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd after allegedly attempting to cash a forged check at M&T Bank.

Hurd was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

Dominic O. Mogavero, 20, of Batavia, was arrested March 24 for Burglary 2nd, Conspiracy 4th and Criminal Facilitation 4th in connection with a burglary that occurred on Hutchins St. on Jan. 12.

Mogavero was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

Jonathan C. Perrine, 42, of Batavia, was arrested March 22 on an arrest warrant for Criminal Mischief 3rd after allegedly damaging windows on a vehicle during an incident on March 28, 2023.

Perrine was arraigned in CAP Court.

Katelyn L. Walsh, 30, of Batavia, was arrested March 22 for felony DWI following a traffic stop on Chase Pk. where she was allegedly found to be intoxicated.

Walsh had previously been convicted of DWI within the last 10 years and was issued several traffic tickets.

She is due in court April 15.

Rhiannon J. Graff, 44, of Batavia, was arrested March 18 for Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from Quicklee’s on Oak St.

Graff was issued an appearance ticket and was due in court March 25.

On March 21, Graff was arrested again for DWI after police responded to a suspicious vehicle on East Main St.

Hillary D. Russell, 32, of Batavia, was arrested March 19 for Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from Dollar General.

Russell was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court April 1.

Brandon C. Dodd, 38, of Batavia, was arrested March 18 for Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from Family Dollar.

Dodd was issued an appearance ticket and was due in court March 25.

Christine J. Saab, 20, of Batavia, was arrested March 10 on a Bench Warrant after failing to appear in court on a Harassment 2nd charge stemming from an altercation at the Mobil gas station on East Main St.

Saab was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

She is due back in court April 9.

Michael J. Hilton, 34, of Leroy, was arrested March 22 on an Arrest Warrant for Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from 7-Eleven on Feb. 26.

Hilton was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
