ST. JOHNSBURY — A 43-year-old St. Johnsbury man was arrested following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault on a juvenile under the age of 16.
Aaron Rowell was taken into custody on March 28 after investigators with the Special Investigations Unit conducted an inquiry into a report received the previous day.
The report, filed on March 27, detailed a possible sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the spring of 2023.
Rowell was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex and is being held without bail.
He faces charges of sexual assault on a child under 16.
Rowell is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on March 31.
