HALIFAX — Halifax Police and Fire responded to a call at approximately 9:17 a.m. yesterday morning for a report of an unresponsive male in the woods of the Burrage Pond walking area.
The individual was deceased prior to the arrival of medical personnel.
The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing by Halifax Police, Massachusetts State Police Detectives and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Halifax Police stated they will communicate with the community whenever there could be a threat to public safety in a timely manner.
Officials confirmed that in this situation, there was never a threat to public safety.
