MILTON — Two Vermont drivers were cited for negligent operation after being clocked at 104 mph on Interstate 89, state police said.
On March 29 at approximately 6:25 p.m., a trooper from the Williston Barracks observed two vehicles traveling together southbound at excessive speeds near mile marker 103 in Milton.
The vehicles were passing other motorists when the trooper conducted a traffic stop and identified the drivers as Norman Mack, 30, of Shelburne, and Connor Chevalier, 21, of Swanton.
Both drivers received Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for Interstate Speed, which carries 2 points and a $568 waiver penalty.
The drivers were also issued citations to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on May 8 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to charges of Negligent Operation.
