SWANTON — Vermont State Police cited a local man following an assault investigation that occurred Friday evening.
Jonathan St. Francis, 25, of Swanton, was issued a citation for simple assault after allegedly attacking another man at 166 First St. around 7:30 p.m. on March 21.
The victim was identified as David Johnson, 24, also of Swanton.
Following their investigation, troopers determined that St. Francis had assaulted Johnson at the First Street location.
St. Francis is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to answer to the charge of simple assault, a violation of Vermont Title 13 VSA 1023.
