NEW LONDON — A 24-year-old Norwich man has been arrested in connection with a January shooting at a downtown New London bistro that left one person wounded.
Anderson Fleurymond-Amy was arrested Monday on multiple charges including first-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm, according to New London police.
The shooting occurred at Favorites Bistro Bar on Bank Street around 8:54 p.m. on Jan. 30, when officers responded to reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival, police found a 27-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.
Officers immediately provided medical aid before the victim was transported to L+M Hospital by the New London Fire Department.
Fleurymond-Amy, of Golden Street in Norwich, also faces four counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Police said the January shooting “does not appear to be a random act.”
The investigation remains active, according to authorities.
