FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield man was cited after allegedly leaving the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 36 near North Road on Monday afternoon.
Thomas Roberts, 66, was identified as the operator of a 2022 Ram 3500 that went off the road at approximately 3:53 p.m., according to Vermont State Police from the St. Albans Barracks.
Troopers responded to reports of the crash and learned that the driver had left the area after causing property damage.
Through investigation, authorities located Roberts and issued him citations for leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation.
The vehicle sustained front-end damage in the crash, which occurred under clear skies and dry road conditions.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
