MARCELLUS — Three people were injured when a pickup truck rolled onto its side on West Seneca Turnpike near Chilmark Drive early Thursday morning.
Marcellus Fire Department responded to the crash at 12:46 a.m. after dispatch reports indicated multiple patients, with two trapped in the vehicle and another possibly ejected.
Fourteen firefighters arrived at the scene with Rescue 1, Engine 2, and command vehicles.
Chief Rothery established command while crews deployed stabilization equipment and began removing the rear window to access the trapped patients.
Firefighters completed the extrication within 13 minutes of the initial dispatch call.
Emergency personnel searched the surrounding area to ensure no additional patients had been ejected from the vehicle.
Marcellus Ambulance provided medical treatment to the injured parties at the scene.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
