CHERRY VALLEY — Two people were arrested and held without bail following a drug raid in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester on March 26.
The Western Worcester County Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant after a three-month investigation into narcotics distribution, according to officials.
Officers seized fentanyl, cocaine, drug packaging materials, scales, nearly $5,000 in cash, and a loaded 9mm handgun during the raid.
Two additional search warrants were executed on vehicles connected to the investigation.
Angel Crespo, 33, of Cherry Valley, was charged with firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes, possession of a firearm in a felony, improper firearm storage, possession of ammunition without an FID card, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class E drug.
Emily Howe, 27, of Cherry Valley, faces charges including possession of a firearm in a felony, improper firearm storage, possession of ammunition without an FID card, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class E drug.
Both suspects were arraigned in East Brookfield District Court on March 27 and held without bail.
A third suspect, a 59-year-old man from New Braintree, will be summonsed for conspiracy to violate drug laws and arraigned at a later date.
The task force was assisted by CEMLEC Swat and K9 officers from Leicester, Auburn, and Massachusetts State Police.
