POULTNEY — Vermont State Police arrested a Poultney man Thursday after responding twice to reports of court order violations and domestic assault.
Timothy Garrick, 30, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree aggravated domestic assault and five counts of violating conditions of release.
Troopers initially responded to a residence on Vermont Route 30 after receiving a report that Garrick was violating court-ordered conditions of release.
Upon arrival, officers found Garrick had already left the location.
Later that evening, troopers returned to the same residence after receiving reports that Garrick had returned and an assault had occurred.
Garrick was apprehended and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was ordered held without bail at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
Garrick is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on March 28 at 12:30 p.m.
