WATERFORD — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who allegedly stole nearly $500 worth of merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store using a dog stroller.

The theft occurred on March 23 at 4:26 p.m. at the Ulta store in Waterford Commons, according to the Waterford Police Department.

Police say the woman entered the store with two juveniles, a boy and a girl, and a dog in a child stroller.

The boy reportedly left the store while the woman and girl selected products.

According to authorities, the woman placed the products in the stroller containing the dog and left without attempting to pay for the merchandise.

The total value of the stolen items was $469.00.

Police believe the suspect may be local, as she and the dog have been seen in the store recently.

Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to contact Officer Suplita at 860-442-9451 ext. 2270 or by email at tsuplita@waterfordct.org.
