CORTLAND — The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman who fled from officers in a red 2021 Nissan Sentra with Florida license plate 23 AUII on March 28.
The incident began when officers attempted to investigate a criminal mischief and road rage complaint in the Town of Willet, where the female suspect reportedly fled the scene.
Officers later located the suspect, who then fled in her vehicle through the Town of Cortlandville and the City of Cortland.
The Sheriff’s Office described the pursuit as beginning on Route 41 in Cortlandville and continuing through Tompkins Street in the City of Cortland.
County Police Officer Dalton Strickland is handling the case, which is being investigated as a failure to comply and fleeing from officers.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or its female operator to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (607) 753-3311.
