JAMAICA — A Winhall man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck a tree on Vermont Route 100 early Friday morning.
At approximately 3:05 a.m., Vermont State Troopers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash near 359 Vermont Route 100 North in Jamaica.
Upon arrival, troopers found that a vehicle had gone off the road and collided with a tree.
During their investigation, troopers spoke with the operator, identified as Benjamin A. Edes, 29, of Winhall.
Troopers observed signs of impairment and subsequently arrested Edes on suspicion of DUI.
Edes was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
