ELMIRA — A 50-year-old Elmira man was arrested as a fugitive from justice on a burglary charge from Pennsylvania, the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Jason W. Drake was remanded to the Chemung County Jail on March 27 at about 8:16 p.m. on an unrelated outstanding Superior Court Warrant.
During the booking process, correction officers conducted a warrant check and discovered Drake had an outstanding warrant through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The information was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division, and Drake was subsequently arrested and processed as a Fugitive from Justice.
Drake remains in the Chemung County Jail and will appear in court at a later date regarding extradition to Pennsylvania.
