NEW HARTFORD — Police arrested a 29-year-old woman on March 27 in connection with a theft at a Dollar Tree store on Commercial Drive.
Demetsia Pritchard was charged with burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, and petit larceny after allegedly stealing an employee’s purse from a restricted break room on Feb. 23.
According to police, the victim reported her purse missing during her break, and an investigation revealed Pritchard had entered the employee break room and taken the wallet containing cash, credit cards, and keys.
Authorities said the stolen cash was then used to purchase items within the store.
Pritchard was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail.
