MORRIS — A West Winfield man was arrested on multiple vehicle and traffic violations following a traffic stop in the Town of Morris, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas J. Palmatier, 39, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, operating without insurance, and several other violations.
Deputies initially stopped Palmatier at 3:45 p.m. on March 24 for displaying an expired inspection certificate and having no New York State license plates on his vehicle.
During the investigation, authorities discovered Palmatier had allegedly attempted to evade other deputies prior to being stopped.
Officials also determined Palmatier possessed only a suspended New York State ID.
Additional charges against Palmatier include operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating with an uninspected motor vehicle, unsafe tire, window tint violation, and no registration insignia displayed.
Palmatier was issued tickets and an appearance ticket for the Town of Morris Court, where he is scheduled to appear at a later date.
