ST. ALBANS — A local man was arrested on an active warrant Wednesday night after being stopped for a traffic violation on Swanton Road.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks were conducting patrol around 9:39 p.m. when they observed a vehicle committing a motor vehicle violation.
After initiating a traffic stop, officers identified the driver as Derrick Ewell, 40, of St. Albans.
During the investigation, troopers discovered Ewell had an active arrest warrant for driving without a license, a misdemeanor violation of 23 VSA 601(g).
Ewell was issued a flash citation ordering him to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 27 at 1 p.m. to answer to the charge related to the warrant.
