CANTERBURY — A Portsmouth man was arrested Thursday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child following a two-month investigation by local police and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Taylor Milne, 36, was taken into custody without incident in Portsmouth and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and certain uses of computer services prohibited.

Canterbury Police, assisted by Portsmouth Police and the NH ICAC Task Force, executed an arrest warrant for Milne on March 20.

The investigation began after reports of alleged inappropriate conversations between Milne and underage residents in Canterbury.

Authorities executed multiple search warrants in Portsmouth before obtaining the arrest warrant that was served Thursday morning.

Milne was transported to the Merrimack County Jail where he will remain until his arraignment at the 6th Circuit Court in Concord.

The case remains under investigation, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Canterbury Police Department at 603-783-0433.
