MECHANIC FALLS — A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with arson following a fire at a multi-family building on Pleasant Street, officials said Wednesday.
Daniel Field, a resident and co-owner of the building, was taken into custody after Fire Marshal Investigators determined the March 25 blaze was intentionally set.
Investigators were called to the scene at approximately 5 p.m. by the Mechanic Falls Police Department.
Field faces charges of arson and failing to maintain or control a dangerous fire, according to the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Mechanic Falls Police and Fire Department.
