ELMIRA — The Elmira Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman suspected of shoplifting from a local Weis Markets store.
According to police, the unidentified female was captured on security cameras at Weis on March 19 placing “a large quantity of merchandise” into a shopping cart before leaving the store without paying.
Authorities have released a security camera image of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact the police department.

Police officials said all tips will remain confidential.
