3 arrested in Morristown on drug charges after traffic stop

MORRISTOWN — Three individuals were arrested on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Morristown on March 25.

At approximately 3:59 p.m., deputies from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office stopped a gray 2024 Nissan Altima for failing to maintain its lane.

New York State Police arrived at the scene to assist with interviewing the vehicle’s occupants, who were found in possession of approximately 500 bags of heroin and fentanyl, as well as over 40 grams of cocaine.

James S. Lago, 41, of Ogdensburg, NY, Dustin C. Watson, 39, of Massena, NY, and Bonnie L. Jeror, 41, of Massena, NY, were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a Class B felony.

Jeror was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, a Class C felony.

Both Jeror and Watson also face charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

The suspects were arrested by the Troop B-Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team and taken to SP Ogdensburg for processing.

They were arraigned in the Town of Canton Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
