TEWKSBURY — Two Lawrence men were arrested and charged with drug distribution after police observed what they believed to be a drug transaction in Tewksbury.
Jose Colon, 21, and Josue Guzman, 23, both of Lawrence, were each charged with distribution of a Class B drug.
On Wednesday, March 26, at approximately 7:22 p.m., the Tewksbury Police Department Narcotics Unit was operating in the area of Andover Street when they observed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving a black Jeep Cherokee and another individual.
Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop of the Jeep Cherokee, identifying Guzman as the driver and Colon as the passenger.
A preliminary investigation determined that Colon and Guzman allegedly sold $60 worth of crack cocaine in the area of Andover Street.
Both men were arrested without incident.
Colon and Guzman are scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Thursday, March 27.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
