NEW LONDON — A Waterford woman was arrested on multiple charges after her vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled over Tuesday evening, causing power lines to fall onto the roadway.
Brittany Wood, 33, of 44 Oswegatchie Road in Waterford, was charged with failure to drive in proper lane, illegal operation of a motor vehicle without minimum insurance and operation of a vehicle under the influence.
New London police and fire departments responded to the area of 597 Broad St. at approximately 6:02 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Emergency personnel found a vehicle that had collided with a utility pole and overturned, with power lines down in the roadway.
