WARWICK — Police are warning residents about scammers posing as representatives of the Boys and Girls Club of Warwick on social media platforms.
The imposters are soliciting vendors for a fictitious “Spring Fling Art and Crafts Fair” supposedly scheduled for May.
Warwick Police Department officials confirmed the Boys and Girls Club of Warwick is not hosting any such event.
Authorities urge residents not to pay vendor fees or share personal information with anyone claiming to represent this nonexistent fair.
