MECHANIC FALLS — Fire Marshal Investigators arrested a local man Tuesday on arson charges following a fire at a multi-family building on Pleasant Street.
Daniel Field, 30, a resident and co-owner of the building, was charged with arson and failing to maintain or control a dangerous fire, according to officials.
Investigators were called to the scene around 5 p.m. March 25 at the request of Mechanic Falls Police.
After examining the scene, Fire Marshal Investigators determined the fire was incendiary in nature.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Mechanic Falls Police and Fire Department.
