BEACON — The Beacon Police Department arrested a fourth suspect in the 2022 drive-by shooting murder of Lionell Pittman on the morning of March 25.
Jarell Brown, 32, of Beacon was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for Murder in the 1st Degree (Contract Murder), a Class A-1 Felony, as well as Murder in the 2nd Degree (Intentional Murder), also a Class A-1 Felony, and Conspiracy in the Second Degree, a Class B Felony.
The arrest was conducted with assistance from the Dutchess County Drug Task Force and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office UAV (Drone) Unit.
Brown was arraigned in Dutchess County Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
In June, September and November of 2024, the Beacon Police Department arrested three other individuals who were present for and participated in this crime.
According to police, Brown’s arrest came through continuing investigation into the motive behind the murder.
